Gently used, rare Yamaha model YFH-8310US Xeno Bb flugelhorn in silver plate.

RECENT CHARLIE MELK PVA & ultrasonically cleaning. In excellent condition apart from very minor surface scratches. This horn from came from Eric Hand at Brass Gurus earlier this year.

A Japan exclusive manufactured in the 2000s, this is the only Yamaha flugelhorn model to bear the Xeno name.  

In the video I was wrong about the manufacturing country, These Yamaha YFH8310US Xeno Bb Flugelhorn’s are ONLY made in JAPAN.

With a traditional small bore, it plays with outstanding efficiency and flexibility. The sound is warm, rich, and reaches a large maximum volume. Compared to the (also small-bore) Bobby Shew flugelhorn, the YFH-8310US is not as lightweight and does not brighten as much when pushed.
