Description
Manufactured in the mid 60’s. A fine player with a Bob Reeves Precesion Valve Alignment. Comes with original Schilke case.
There is sing of bell repair across from the second valve. Does not affect the playing. Excellent Valve and slide action with very good “POP” compression.
The B3 and the B1 are my favorite Schilke models I think of the B3 Model of a sweet tone and perfect for all round playing, especially solo playing for Jazz or Classical.
Schilke B3. Open blow but not to big. Plenty of sparkle.
This versatile large bore model plays with added brilliance, immediate response,
balance in color and feel throughout the range from top to bottom. The B3 is ideal for the
player looking for a “big horn feel” yet with more resistance than Schilke’s X3 model.
Bore: L -.463′ (11.75 mm)
Bell: M – 5′ (127.00 mm) Yellow Brass Bell with #3 taper
